    Apple Patent

Apple has put out a lot of patents on many different un-conventional ideas. This Apple patent that was just released is a goggle like design of a product that is suppose to replicate the movie theater experience. Some movies are so much better when you see them on the “big screen”. This is why Apple has been exploring the idea of possibly creating these media goggles for those of us who just want that theater experience but don’t want to leave our lazy boy. This is just one of many patents that Apple has on this similar design concept.

Essentially what the goggles would be able to do is sense the movement of your head, which would allow for movement on the screen inside the goggles as if you were watching a movie theater screen. Audio concepts have also been discussed regarding the change in surround sound volume based on how your head is turned. Although this sounds very interesting it is still just a concept. Nothing has been developed. Yet.

Could you imagine if someone remotely hacked into your iPhone and was able to listen in on your life without you even knowing it? Actually this is possible. If you browsed to a website that loaded software through your iPhones safari browser you could potentially be the target of a hacker bugging program. The hacker could access all your private files on the iPhone and even enable it to record ambient noise through the speaker of the phone. This means they could listen into your life without you even knowing it. I’ve said enough. You should watch the video.

We have been advertising all week for the interview with Brea Grant on the BradmanTV show and tonight is the night. The show starts at 8:00pm CST on BlogTV. Bradman will be doing a live interview with the Heroes star Brea also known as Speedster, Daphne Millbrook. If you would like to submit a question just shoot Bradman a Twitter (Bradmantv).

Brea Grant is a fellow geek and an internet addict:

“I’m truly a geek! I read a lot of comic books and this was a really good excuse because I felt like reading comic books was research for ‘Heroes.’ I like the sci-fi genre, I liked ‘Heroes’ [before I was on it]. I love stuff like ‘Battlestar Galactica’ and those kind of nerdy shows,” she revealed. “This is sort of my dream I guess, it’s like the perfect show for me to be on!”

We will see you tonight on BradmanTV! TheClosetGeek.com will also be broadcasting via the iNateMedia room so make sure to tune in and add to the excitement of the interview and election coverage.

I was browsing Viddler.com and found this featured video on the front page. Everyone is probably sick and tired of celebrities telling you to go vote so here is a spoof on just that. I don’t know why but I found myself laughing out loud in a library.

On November 19th Microsoft will be making a big update to their Xbox gaming consoles. Microsoft continues to make software improvements on its software for the Xbox so that it can compete with common features that are offered on competing consoles such as the Playstation 3 and Wii. With this update you will finally be able to create your own fully customizable avatar for your player profile. Now you can really get sucked into the television while your gaming. Joy.

Take a look at the video above. It shows you a detailed demo of the avatar creation software that launches November 19th.

What’s your Twitter grade? If you’re a Twitter user then you already have a rating! After you get your rating on Twitter Grader you’re going to immediately ask why it gave you the grade it did. Below is a list of factors that Twitter Grader takes into consideration when grading your account. I got a 97/100. Click HERE to get your twitter grade.

    • Reach measures the maximum number of people a particular Twitter could get a message to (basically your followers and their followers).

    • Velocity measures the average of first order followers and second order followers added on a daily basis since you started your account.

    • Social Capital measures the value of your followers network, e.g. how many followers do your followers have?

    • Centralization measures how dependent your reach or ability to influence is on a small number of followers who have a large following. E.g. If the bulk of your network is made up of 10 superstars each with thousands of followers, then you have a very centralized network and it is perceived by Twinfluence to be fragile because if one or more of those superstars stops following you, your reach collapses in direct proportion.

So tonight I decided that my web social world was getting a little out of control. I needed to find a better way to organize it. I’m on almost every social network on the web and at times it becomes very difficult to keep up with. So I turned to a new web browser. Flock.

Flock is a social networking web browser. That means you can have all of your favorite social network sites such as Myspace, Facebook, Twitter, Digg, YouTube, and Pownce right at your finger tips whenever you feel that you need to check for updates. I use Flock because it allows me to update all of my statuses within 30 seconds and I have about 6. If your a Social Site Freak like myself you will find this extremely usefull. You can also do the same with photos (Facebook, Myspace, Flickr).

Flock uses the Firefox base code so it uses many of the technologies that makes Firefox such a great browser but then it adds a little candy on top. If you don’t see too much of a slow down when internet browsing with all your social networks up then I recommend this browser. I’m making the switch tonight.
